I agree. It was the worse episode I've ever seen. There's one hour of my life I can never get back

you all missed the point. tony has become isolated and paranoid and his pride has pushed his life out of control. this episode brought all that to light.

I didn't miss that at all. I just didn't think they needed to do the dream thing for 20 min.

Undoubtedly. When that's what your life is going through, that's your focus. So it makes sense to do it that way.

It's just that it's a tremendous departure from anything they've done, and because of that and the distance it is from the last episode, it kinda screams "filler".

yeah, they used to do little snippets of bizarre dreams back a few seasons ago -- lots of stuff regarding pussy.

but this episode was just ridiculous -- especially considering all the really major stuff going on right now. they throw out this garbage then say "ONLY TWO EPISIODES LEFT!" wtf? why waste one episode on a david lynch flick?

    bleah.

I was frustrated with the length of the dream sequence as well, but there was a lot of meat in there, not just about Tony B, but about his desire to be back with Carmela, his guilt and the incredible amount of stress his life has brought him. I was slightly consoled about the length of the dream by the fact that at least it turned out that Tony B was causing major havoc while it was all going on. They never give you as much as you want on the Sopranos. That's part of why it's good. The character development on the show is incredible, but it's also in competition with the viewer's desire to see more action. I think either Carmine or Johnny Sach has to die. They've got to kill one significant character other than Tony B.

i want more mob action and less family/personal action. the godfather mixed it beautifully. this is just getting a little silly with all the stuff about his wife sleeping with her son's guidance counselor and shit. right now about half the show is his family life. they should make it about 25%.

    I'm about over Sopranos.

Swearengen is bad-ass and funnier than hell.
