    According to AMG there are two "Little Green Apples." One by Bobby Russell, which has been recorded many, many times by a whole host of performers; and another tune by Dennis Brown, recorded by Dennis Brown.
    The former is most likely the "hit" that we're thinking of; but, I can't determine who recorded it. I forgot the year the song was a popular. [Bobby Goldsboro didn't do it.]
