I've heard of half of those... and I have heard half of that half. Is Art of Noise still around?

That one song... don't think I can list just one but here's a few

Dire Staits- Industial Disease. Off of Love over Gold which took over a year to produce because of attention to detail on the songs. Listen really really carefully to this song preferrably with headphones to try and hear the intracacies of the song.

    Van Morrison- Precious Time.

    Cornershop- Brimful of Asha

The Ocean Blue- Cerulean. It goes well with LarryD's thread earlier today about your first love

    Sir-Mixx-a-lot I got Game. Because I do and it's just a fun song :)

Sting- Love is the Seventh Wave.

    Metallica- One.

Many many more but that's enough :)

Here's a 70's song question for some of you older folk. I am looking for the song from Captain & Tenielle with the dog in it. There are no words to the song just do-do-do's and a dog panting and doing tricks. It was my favorite song when I was like 2 or 3. I have looked for it recently, but I don't know the name of it or what album it was on. Any ideas?

I know it's stereotypical, but my favorite song of all time is from Sunset Boulevard as performed by Glenn Close on Broadway....As If We Never Said Goodbye

But I also get a kick out of Is That All There Is by Peggy Lee

and if I'm feeling really sappy...I grab Hallelujah by John Cale from the Basquiat Soundtrack.

I've got hundreds of others that I really like, but it's been a long day and I'm feeling kinda blue.

I listened to a lot of Art Of Noise in the 80's. The only one I still have is Daft on cassette. Moments In Love is my favorite track. A lot of the music that I write is similar to Art Of Noise. Anyone have an idea of what instruments / keyboards they used?

Ok, I found the song I was looking for. Broddy Bounce by Captain & Tennille. Now I just have to find a recording of it somewhere.

I recall a tune called Kashmir that wasn't too shabby. The Rover, Bron-Yr-Aur, Houses of the Holy and Trampled Underfoot...sounds pretty good to me. Maybe your thinking of Coda.

Physical Graffiti is my favorite album by Zepplin. many new spring days spent skipping class at Price Park listening to that one.

Art of Noise - the only thing I remember about them is that wierd as hell video they did - the little girl all punked up, sneering at the camera, sledge hammers and chain saws - all that jerk action. It was a cool song and video in that "strange sort of way"
