just watch the games on TV. or better yet, wait until tournament time and see where that RPI gets them. Holy motherfuck, other than duke and unc, the rest of the teams wouldn't finish top three in the MAC

It must be truly humiliating for your conference to be 0-3 against State, one of the ACC's cellar dwellers. I'm sorry for your pain.

    sorry, I don't agree.

The Big East's numbers are skewed because it has four more teams than the ACC. take the top 12 teams in the Big East and calculate the RPI and compare it to the ACC.

Or, more simply, calculate the average RPI of the top 12 teams in the Big East and the 12 teams in the ACC.

here's how they rank (RPI rank in parentheses).

    Big East

    1. G'town (10)
    2. UConn (11)
    3. Louisville (12)
    4. Marquette (15)
    5. Notre Dame (21)
    6. Pitt (25)
    7. WVA (34)
    8. Syracuse (49)
    9. Nova (58)
    10. Seton Hall (68)
    11. Cincy (78)
    12. Providence (112)

average RPI rank of the top 12: 39.42

    ACC

    1. UNC (3)
    2. Dook (5)
    3. Clemson (22)
    4. Miami (26)
    5. VaTech (63)
    6. Wake (65)
    7. Maryland (69)
    8. Fla. St (73)
    9. GaTech (82)
    10. State (84)
    11. BC (113)
    12. Virginia (120)

average RPI rank of the ACC: 60.42

So basically, the Big East is dragged down by its shittiest four teams. All things being equal, it appears the Big East much better than the ACC.

top 25 RPI shows includes three ACC teams, six BE teams. BE will have two, maybe three more teams in the tournament. and deservedly so.

The Big East should drop 4 teams so it can be as great as the ACC.
