You apparently aren't aware of how badly the Tar Heels suck.

No, you're right. He'd coach the Tar Heels and DC for the Panthers too.

Magnus, who are your top 3 guesses who the new DC is. I am hoping they raise someone into the position from inside. Nothing against outsiders but the coaches and players seemed to be clicking last year (sounds wierd to say that last year). Although as Del Rio was Fox's first hire I bet Fox has a bigger hand in the defence.

Sam's the top internal choice. I'd have to say that while all candidates are successful, that LB coaches are the more likely to get upgraded, that Sam's got the best football head on his shoulders, that he's the smartest, and obviously there's the name.

Plus the third tier assistant Sal Sunseri has LB coach experience, making him an easy promotion if the team can't find another experienced LBs coach.

From the outside? Hard to say, very hard to say. LeBeau's the best coach out there, IMO, and the rest of the coaches out there had average defenses at best in their careers. Not a fan of Jacksonville's, nor the deposed Seattle guy Sidwell. There aren't really any college guys that aren't tied down.

that would be to join holmgren who is now possibly headed to san fran if seattle lets him out. if he should go and still take rhodes w/ him, then mora would be available. just a couple more things to think about.

Certainly. I feel he's better than Perry and has the experience as a pro assistant. ON the other hand DL coaches this good are very hard to find, and that does weigh into things.
