I think you would see a difference if you had you dish aligned better. The installers rarely do it right and if it is off by just a little, bad weather will interupt it more often.

What's a good bar in the Matthews area to watch the game?

Yeah that poor signal quality I'm getting 98 - 100% would make a big difference.

Our new receiver at the office has been flawless from my experience. Some of the older one's were terrible. Maybe you need a new one.

:iagree: I have no choice but to get TWC. Their DVR service sucks, they don't carry NFL Network, and their HD quality blows ass. Of course that could be the lines in the apartment. Who knows. Either way, most of the channels are awful.

Actually cable has the best HD quality. Not as many channels but because of its compression type has the better picture.

Is your office in Charlotte? It doesn't rain here anymore, so the rain argument against Satellite is pretty much moot. However, even a 100% aligned dish can and will be knocked out if the cloud cover is thick enough. That said, there is a big difference between a dish at 92% and a dish at 99%. If you are at the top of the spectrum, it takes damn near a tornado to knock out your reception.

I get a shitload of channels in HD on Comcast. 50 or so now maybe? The only thing I would want Direct TV for is the Sunday Ticket. Eh. The NFL has blown this year.

Comcast put NFL in a new package with the Fox sports channels and some other crap. I noticed it was gone sometime late in the summer. They advertise it @ $1.99/month for 6 months but WILL NOT give you the price after that unless you call and ask them. So I said fuck off.

Amazingly, it did not kill me to miss that Indy-Atlanta game T'giving night.

Wait - I do have to admit one thing.

I do miss the quick replays of the NFL games during midweek. Got a little addicted to those last year.
