from what i've read, he took some all natural weight loss product in the offseason.

Pure speculation here, he took something with Ma Huang (an herb) in it. This is where diet and energy stuff like red bull, hydroxycuts,etc get their effedra from. Effedra is what the Northwestern kid was taking when he died and Stringer was supposeably taking it too. Marshall Falk used to endorse a product containing it but the NFL made him stop.

If he got banned for this, it is just another PR move. Adding effedra to the banned substance list was done for "role model" purposes....are they going to ban caffeine too?

I've taken that stuff. I bought it at BiLo. It's not even a very good one.

Imagine that, getting suspened for taking something you can buy at BiLo while Randy Moss contineus to play after pot is found in his car.

 

you know, if I were him, I'd be considering a lawsuit if it was in fact stacker 2 he was taking. The NFL banned him for "steroid" policy. That's all you heard on the news "suspended for steroid use." There's a big difference between stacker 2 and steroids...especailly in the perception people will have of him. I'd consider his name and reputation damaged.
