Having any hopes this year or are the all tarnished due to Cam being injured?

They need to cut Grier. I dont care if he's local, i dont care if hes a bad decision for a 3rd. Admit it was a mistake and move on.

Defense is going to carry us later in the season, but I worry about a slow start. Particularly given that the easy part of the schedule is the first half.

I`m willing to let Grier sit for a year or two and try to learn to let the speed of the game soak in and deal with it.
First year rookie who they know is not going to start, the coaching staff doesn`t have to dumb down the plays just for him.
Whereas if the had to start him then the playbook gets highly modified to suit his experience.

    1) Cam cannot miss more than one or two games.

    2) The offensive line has to play up to it's potential.

    3) The pass rush has to play up to it's potential.

    4) Luke Kuechly cannot miss more than one or two games.

If those four items work out, the Panthers will be a playoff team and a serious candidate for the Lombardi Trophy.

It was amazing listening to the radio guys and seeing shit on twitter from media after the game. They were all trying to shine up that turd that Grier laid. A couple of decent throws doesn’t make up for all the other terrible shit.

I do hope we can stash him on IR or something because I’d hate to have a wasted pick. I just don’t know with what I’ve seen if he will ever be more than a back up. It seems to take forever for him to get rid of the ball once he does make a decision where he’s going with it and that is concerning.

We're almost certainly going to keep him on the 53, but he's not playing this year unless we're extremely unfortunate. If it gets to that point, it's probably a lost season anyway.

I appreciate Heinicke's grit, but he's not an NFL quarterback. He may have missed his calling as a slot WR/punt returner, though.

One of the most vulnerable teams in the NFL. If cam rips that shoulder labia or luke gets another concussion you could easily be cellar dwellers.
If both go out. .. top five draft slot next spring.

    Enjoy

Which team exactly is deep enough to lose their starting qb and best linebacker and succeed?

I don't feel as confident as I was a month ago but I'm still mildly optimistic.
