    I have my doubts at "cutting back." It's very temporary, then you'll be back huffing and puffing.

    Anyhow, after smoking for 25 years and several attempts at quitting, I finally quit, cold turkey. Haven't had a smoke in over 30 years, except an occasional cigar(don't inhale), and herb, of course.

    I smoke a pack every two weeks. One a day mostly and about 3 or 4 while drinking and playing poker on monday nights. Most say I should just quit. I refer to myself as a recreational smoker

    The whole trick to quitting is that you have to really want to quit. Until then you are wasting your time.

    The hardest part is getting the right mindset, WANTING to stop smoking. The physical quitting will follow suit with minimum willpower, then it's surprisingly simple and easy.
