    it's good if you like sonny's. i've been there twice. the bbq is crap, and the ribs are crap. and believe me, i WANTED this place to be good.

    it's all right. I had ribs and chicken because I knew the bbq wouldn't be up to Kepley's or Stamey's standards.

    The portions were big and it was good enough but kind of pricey. But if you want "bbq" you know where to go.

    Smokey Bones isnt anywhere CLOSE to being like Sonny's.

    And compared to Texas Roadhouse, Tony Romas, and Longhorn, Smokey Bones has the better ribs.

    So where do you prissy bbq experts get your "great" bbq?

    In bbq restaurants that have been serving up bbq for 40 or 50 years. Don't bother looking you won't find any of those in Charlotte.

    The menu choices are chopped or sliced. Sandwich or on a platter.

    And they don't serve ribs or chicken. Don't get me wrong - I love ribs and chicken. But no matter how good a chain's ribs or chicken is they don't serve good bbq.
