    yeah, after reading that, i don't know what to think anymore. on one hand, apparently it is habitual. on the other hand, i'm trying to think of some elite receivers that don't get into trouble.

    moss- brush with the security guard and basic pouting on a shitty team
    ocho cinco- possible taking a swing at the head coach, basic pouting
    marvin harrison- gun incident this summer
    terrell owens- a shit head, but he doesn't really get into trouble except for the ocassional throwing teamates under the bus.


    i guess you take the good with the bad, but on the other hand, if he's alienating teammates to the point where other players want to beat his ass, that's not good for team chemistry.

    At this point anything that appears to be just a slap on the wrist to Smith would tear the team apart. He has a history of doing this and each time he gets away with just minor punishment only insures future outbursts. They have to hit Smitty hard this time. Fine him, suspend him for at least three games, and strip him of his captain's "C". Better to have 1 guy pissed at you than the other 52.

    i was also thinking about this.....thinking if he might get jumped by other members of the team........thinking if someone new, with intentions of ending this bullshit......someone willing to step up and make this their team.......a real leader, or at least a leadership core.

    Maybe. I was just trying to think of ways to make a punishment stick that wouldn't screw the rest of the team.
