I have to agree with whatever you say since you're letting me have Kenny's Legs. Speaking of which, we're still capped at level 34 unless we do get promoted, so he's just barely eligible. I think we'll probably get bumped up to Canada A anyway, though.

I've gone to Training Camp and watched Smith interact with the kids on the sidelines. He's great with the kids, no "I'm a star don't mess with me attitude".

He has been great since the incident at camp, on the field and off. He deserves the award.

If it was "Nicest Guy Of The Year" yeah, I could see having a problem with it.

But it's for "Who Gives To The Community", which Smith is a good candidate for.

Steve Smith only gives to the community after he fucks up and needs to improve his public image.

inaccurate. He's been with AUFY since its inception--which was long before the Lucas fight.

Smith also ran a winter coat drive (gathering coats for kids in not only Charlotte, but in northern states) before AUFY was created.

Are you aware of him doing anything at all before the Anthony Bright incident?

    Edit:
    I don't actually know, I'm just asking.

He does, and I'm sure that they appreciate it regardless of whatever his motives may be. Plus him doing things to atone for his misbehavior is better than doing nothing, whether he's sincere or not. But that doesn't make him a good role model or someone whose community service should be celebrated. It's penance for the things he's done wrong.

I've seen him at the YMCA on more than one occasion working with kids camps over the years. I don't think it's all about helping his image.

True, he might also feel personal guilt about being such a fuckup.
