I don't know, but I'll ask my roommate. She works part time at the front desk.

I think all the Y's were closed except for the uptown which was probably a zoo because it was on "open house" day. that's one advantage bally's has, the only day they are closed in christmas day...and their hours are better than gold's and the y.

I don't know if I can handle 49 a month any more :shakehead

I may start looking at some other places...but I don't want to drive too far. I'll start going to the new Ballentyne YMCA once it opens and stop going to Siskey since it's about 2 miles away.

I pay less than $15/month for bally's. they membership sales style is like buying a used car from a dealer...you can negotiate with them. check out ballysucks.com and can read several stories about people getting ripped off by con man sales staff.

they have a 7 day free trial membership....I think they are pricey though....but it is supposed to be very very nice. 10 plasma TV's in the cardio theatre.

there's some deal going on where you can get 3 month Bally's for free by signing up for some "challenge." I saw it in an add in Sunday's paper....it only listed the pineville location.
