Basically saying there would be a ton of blow outs for us this year, because our passing game is so bad.....

Amazing how badly we've failed at having a quality receiver corps. The best was 2003 with Smitty, Moose, and Proehl. Everyone Fox has drafted or tried to groom has failed.....

I cant remember who it was on the opening drive - either papa or banks - saying we should get used to throwing 3 picks a game and getting blown out.

How hard is it, or how costly is it to just get a proven WR like Bolden, Houshmenzada, Crayton, etc.... Any of these proven guys would have been better than throwing 2nd round picks at guys that don't pan out year after year.

The Panthers passing game is totally busted right now. Pass blocking is atrocious, but even when there is protection the receivers don't get free. I watched about half of the game against the Giants and I knew Matt Moore had no chance. He's not a great QB, maybe not even a good one, but he has no chance.

He looked like Carr on the Texans, it was that bad. I'm surprised he didn't get hurt sooner, he was lit up all game.

Housh = Could have had him for $880k. Pretty sure they are paying those fucking reject wr's way more than that. They probably just paid more than that for the scrub kicker that they let go.

I think a lot has to do with Otah being out. He is a stud in pass protection and needs to get healthy quick. As far as receivers go give LaFell at least a chance to show what he's got before labeling him a bust after one game. Now Jarrett is another story. Pile on him if you like....

Actually, they aren't. But point taken. There were alot of guys out there this year - we opted to build through draft. Great if it works, and you almost want to think that odds would be in their favor having tried so many times, but damn.

yep... could have had Owens, Boldin, Houshurmama... even Patrick Crayton...

Now Moss wants out of New England...

imagine if we had gone after McNabb and brought in Boldin... we'd be Super Bowl favorites right now

I'm still waiting for an explanation as to why they didn't even try during the offseason. The lock-out argument doesn't fly, because most teams still made an effort to add veteran players and improve their talent level. We just sat there and did nothing.

It's the "Go young" plan... Well after final cuts the Panthers were officially the youngest team in the NFL. (maybe they are anticipating the lock-out going a decade or more and trying to have some players left when it ends)
