He saw your post and waited till Tuesday.

Not a very good college coach, but appeared to be a good guy.

"After five years, wins and losses matter, and they matter a lot," athletic director Debbie Yow said. "They just do."

Lowe, an assistant with the NBA's Detroit Pistons with no college coaching experience when he was hired.

how'd they get him to resign?

Probably told him he'd be fired if he didn't resign.

I would be willing to bet that's how it went down. I don't think that 'arrangement' was unexpected.

Thy should stay with recent tradition and go after someone like Leonard Hamilton. Keep it in the ACC.

    Tom O'Brien
    Debbie Yow

How about the assistant on Chapel Hill's bench? He has head coaching experience from FSU.

Seriously? Forget that he left Clemson in the middle of the night without ever addressing his players or saying goodbye or packing his office. Brownell has done more in one year in developing the talent in the players we have then Purnell ever did. I have been shocked by the difference. The mentality of each and every player is totally different.

That said and personal feelings aside, Purnell is still a step up from Lowe.

Well yeah, but I think what you said prior to that comment will disqualify him from consideration.

$14 mil over 7 years will do that to some people. But yeah that was a classless way to go. State can do better, hopefully.
