    OTOH,

after thinking about it, I think a case could be made for Wesley Walls. He was dominant at the TE position for a while.

Kasay as well, but they generaly do not glorify kickers I guess.

Davis was awesome in 2003. His contributions to the first 12 games of 2003 are unquestioned.

However, we showed we could win without him being the biggest part of the puzzle, and probably would've been about as successful if he hadn't carried so much. This isn't to downplay Davis as much as to note how powerful that 2003 team was, when we actually tried to pass, and it's certain that the defense was the motive power anyway.

You could make a case for Jake. Lord knows what would have happened to us if Jake never came in V Jax.

But i think they're strictly talking about quality FA's moving from one team to another. Jake was realtively unknown then.

Sportscenter did a top 5 free agents of all time too a couple weeks ago I believe, and had Jake at 5.

Reggie White was on there too (the first time he signed as a FA, not the second )

    Here's the list in order:

ESPN'S BEST NFL Free Agent signings of all time:
    #5-RB Marcus Allen, Chiefs
    #4-QB Jake Delhomme, Panthers
    #3-S Rodney Harrison, Patriots
    #2-DE Reggie White, Packers
    #1 (best)-CB Deion Sanders 49'ers/Cowboys

Sanders was also on their WORST FA signings of all time when he signed with the Redskins.
