i whipped this up last weekend.

boil shrimp (we did 1.5 lbs) in old bay seasoning. i eyeball the amount about 3 tbs.

sautee an onion with olive oil in the pot for the grits when 1/2 cooked add chicken broth and shrimp stock and milk for cooking grits.

cook according to directions on grits box. i did a double batch i coulda done more.
add some old bay seasoning and butter into the grits as they are cooking. i added cheese to taste plus i added heavy cream. salt pepper orwhateverthefuckelseyou want to add. you really can't hurt em.

when your shrimp are peeled and deveined add them to the grits and stir.

i was trying to think of a sauce to pour over the shrimp and grits but didn't work that out, i think hollendaise would work.

Why would you want to go and ruin good shrimp?

I've had this before in a japaleno & cheddar form...fuckin awesome. Try adding more cheese or different types of cheese and forget about a "sauce".

Eddie's place has them too. People who like grits say they are excellent.
