that's not really any different than how he'd been used in the past.

To me, it's a no-brainer. You shift Foster's focus to that of Faulk/Westbrook. I don't care about the differences in scheme. The concept is the same.

I don't think you can find more of a lock that DW. The guy is tailor-made for our team. Low center of gravity, patient. Davis was always a patient runner, but never had the burst that Williams will bring. Then, of course, you can always count on Goings. He runs straight, gets yards, rarely fumbles, always healthy, and had an underrated pair of hands.

Health is always a concern, but if they all stay relatively healthy, it's going to be fun to watch.

Is this under the assumption Bush remains the #2 back? I wonder how much impact McAllister will have this year. Ive heard rumblings he may not be ready to go.

Still a 4.6 avg for a rookie is pretty darn good. But i bet if he gets that many touchs he'll pull in a few more TD's on the ground but 10 overall for a rookie would be damned good.

I wonder what your projections for Mario would be since they'll forever be linked.

How about our own number 34 for that matter?

I wonder if Bush means they'll cut Michael Lewis loose. If he's healed I'd sure give him a long hard look as PR/KR.

I'd thought Lewis was a free agent this year, but his injury had meant no one's touched him. Can't say for sure, offhand. Never hurts to have two return men, though a 2nd overall being one return man does suggest you'll use him as much as possible.

I believe the Saints resigned him earlier in FA. This of course was before they ever dreamed the Texans would pass on Bush.

Yeah. I have McAllister down for 1250 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns on ~300 carries, along with 25 receptions for 200 receiving yards. Obviously that would leave New Orleans with a fearsome rushing total, but that's what I expect.

As for the rest, I don't make individual defensive projections, but I doubt that Mario Williams will register a double digit sack total. Then I have DeAngelo Williams with 650 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns on ~150 carries. I'm obviously bullish on his future, but this season not only Foster but Shelton and possibly Goings as well will limit his carries. I have Foster starting more games and about equaling last year's production.

I gotta say I'm disappointed that I didn't see him more than what we saw last night. Every time we've seen him touch the ball this preseason, he's looked pretty damn good. Last night he ran better than anyone, I thought.

I have to presume that something is going on that we'll never know about. I can't understand why he's NOT been given more opportunities on game day unless he has been just AWFUL in practice and other preperation.

Anyway, after last night, I'm gonna be pissed when he gets released, and I think he'll get released.

He looked really good at 8/47. When he finished at 10/44, a lot of the shine had come off, but I think he did "enough".

I hope he makes it also, but after the fumble and the look on Fox's face (not to mention the Henning article), I don't think he makes it. Gosh I hope I'm wrong.

Collin, you said last night that it wasn't about his yards but his approach - or something like that, what did you mean?
