Sheldon had another great game today, the kid is on a roll. The way he attacks rebounds sometimes is tenacious. Hopefully Duke can get him a ring, because I'm afraid without it he'll be overlooked in duke history. Perhaps he's the next Gene Banks, where his biggest fans are the ones who truly see the game for more than slam dunks and threes. Sheldon does a lot of little things, especially with his defensive positioning. He struggles with guys his size or bigger as far as shutting them down, but he still holds his own. His offensive game has improved every year, he hits FTs at a good clip for a big man, clearly a monster defensively (which is huge because Duke's perimeter D has been so bad this year). Looks like his number's going up I'd say.

He's quite the moral character too, apparently. What a special human being.

He didn't rape the girl, he participated in a gang bang. Charges weren't brought up against anyone and the girl ended up admitting she wasn't raped I thought?

I could be wrong, I wasn't there. It is a dead horse though, she saw dollar signs.

I think he should have his number retired. He's starting to get on a tear and should pass Gminski in total rebounds for the school record and has an outside shot at 2,000 points. If what you say is the case, then Phil Ford should never have his number retired even though he's arguably the best Heel ever.

saw dollar signs from a high school kid?

i read that she dropped the charges, but said that those guys have to live with what they did to her....and that they all know exactly what they did.

also, if there was no wrong doing, why would he be thrown off his HS team and suspended from school?

Saw dollar signs from a top 5 recruit who could go pro right out of HS? Sheldon was a little different than just a 'HS kid,' come on. And I'd say the HS did the right thing. They covered themselves by taking precautions against some allegations. The police will come to your house and arrest you if someone claims you beat your wife, doesn't mean you did it.

i didn't realize shelden had considered going pro from HS...i would think most kids that stay in school 4 years weren't ready for the NBA after HS. I don't follow recruiting as closely as many of you do...so I'm not saying you are wrong.
