I agree, I've always thought he sucked or let me rephrase, his attitude sucks, he may end up being an average QB.

you know, if you keep your mouth shut, nobody will know how stupid you are.

charlie ward's agent told teams that he would not sign if he wasn't drafted in the first round. that's why he wasn't drafted.

several draft sites may have had weinke 6th or 7th, but none of any hint of credibility.

    damn, sandy.

Believe me, sales is basically the same as it always was. Identify your customers needs and provide them with a solution. However more and more today, hip pocket or on the cuff selling is fading, unless your on a car lot.

That part about the car lot is so not true, it is no differant than "your industry" whatever that is...not that that really matters either. just my 2 cents.

I don't think Sandy is stupid. I think he likes this debate. Like Young Frankenstien. Always have to watch that movie.

He knows very well that no one of any merit had Weinke ranked that low. But he's trolling. Sometimes I forget that, and take him seriously.

WOW, two full pages of BS not related to the original post. Imagine that!
Mags, I didn't honestly feel you directed that statement at anyone. The way it was presented was vague and Sandy will automatically think any statement made as such is directed at him.
My last post was pretty much in jest. You know me, it wouldn't phase me either way.
    Back to the topic...
The only way I see the Panthers drafting a QB next year is if one of the top 3-4 slips to us in the second round. Weinke is up in the air and Fasani may or may not be the future and it has yet to be seen if Peete can go the distance. Even if Fasani is the future, that future won't begin next year, 2004 would be realistic and one would hope Peete could just
Not saying I think King is some kind of savior, quite the opposite. However, of the guys that could be available, I like him better than most due to $$$ and experience. This offense doesn't put alot on a QB and a guy like him could, IMO, run this offense very well.
Regaurdless, Hennings seems to be a master at tailoring his offense to fit his QB. Be it Peete, Fasani, Weinke, King or other, Hennings will keep things within their abilities.

I'm thinking a guy like Palmer might be there in round 2. Of course, if he starts with the INTs again, he might be there in round 8. :D

I'm not complaining about Peete, I hope does tremendous. I've said early on, I am indifferent about the guy. I was thinking long term like I'm looking for a guy...
