    We dont need him to beat cupcakes but when we get against a team that is strong inside we will need him. If Williams gets in foul trouble he will really be needed.

    Chipping in ten points here and there does not hurt much either. If this were a Duke team from a couple of years ago with loads of talent Shav might not be worth much but as thin as this Duke team is he is needed.

    Shav may not score 8 - 10 pts per night but he does things that swing the score that much in each game. He certainly isn't a defensive liability.

    Agreed, if he is already in the spot. Of course he does get the dook charge call a lot when it really isn't one.

    Well that depends on who you compare him with. Shav? I would take Jackie any day of the week, same offense(sucks) but Jackie is a little better on the defensive side. Of course we wouldn't really skip a beat without him.

    Now if you are comparing Jackie to better players in the league, then hell yeah he sucks.

    Another difference is that I dont recall Sanders being the subject of a fierce recruiting battle...well, I guess Southern Miss and Xavier of Lousiana really wanted him...
