He looks a little more hardass when his hair was longer, I'll agree with that, but I love McRoberts a whole lot more than Randolph. He's playing better defensively, and blocking shots, and the thing about Shav was that he screwed up all the time, and McRoberts is shooting something like 65% from the floor. Just hasn't gotten the touches. He is simply a third, fourth, or even fifth option when Nelson comes back. Hansbrough's numbers are so high because #1 He's a good player #2 He has to play almost the entire game and is the #1 scoring option on the team. If you let McRoberts take 15 shots a game and revolve the team around him, he would be in double figures easily. Also, Duke's schedule has been pretty tough so far this year. I wish they gave him the ball more, but I can understand why they would dump it down to Williams more often. Now why don't you compare Shav's Junior numbers to McRoberts' first 6 games. I think McRoberts will only improve and he and Paulus are going to be vital in how well Duke will do in the ACC and in the tournament.

But wasn't Shav the 3rd or 4th option as well?

Our schedule that year had a lot more cupcakes in the beginning than this year from what I can recall. That was the year they took the trip to England and K new they needed to play the cupcakes early to get in synch because of all the frosh.

Instead of a useless Shav v McRoberts comparison....why don't we look at everybody's All American, Shelden Williams, v Marco Killingsworth.

Marco is probably still full after eating Shelden's lunch all game...

Killingsworth had a great game, and killed Williams, there's no doubt about that. Williams even playing a crappy game had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks. Killingsworth is a damn good player and crushed Williams though. I'll look at McRoberts' stats and compare them with battier's his freshmen year, and you'll see that they are similar in the points department. He looks like he'll improve where Shav just got worse and worse the longer he stayed at Duke. His best season was his freshman year.
