Matthews had plenty of weapons in DC and couldn't produce. I don't want him.

I don't have anything against Shane... he's just done nothing to make me feel warm and fuzzy. I'd rather have Kordell, only he'll cost more and has a higher bipolar end of risk.

:D - thats quick - no, it does not matter, he may cost too much. But in a make believe world, I'd pay him twice as much as I would pay Matthews to be a Panther QB.

I said make believe, cause I know the choices were not real.. Its still a real chance that Kordell will come here though, and yes, in a real world, I would pay him 2x the amount Matthews would make...

true. Of course, one could say that about Kordell most of his years. But there's no shining knight in this year anyway.

Matthews would sign for the minimum. Krydell would want much more. Matthew is a better leader and would not whine nearly as much if he got benched. I would much rather sign Matthews because everyone would know up front that he was just a stop gap. Krydell would be looked at as the answer to the QB problem and he would not be. I would rather stay with Rodney Peete than bring in Krydell.

Yeah Peete would be nice, except he never has made it through an NFL season. You can bet you will only have Peete for 10 games. That's no good. Kordell is the best choice if the money is right. He has accomplished and is better than any FA or cut players out there. Howard/Harold/ Harry Johnson says it's a done deal. Wonder how that old fart knows so much?

There is no deal because there's no contact. The rumor is that Kordell wants to come here. Doesn't mean we have to call him.
