With increased BP, you'd be more likely to see 'floaters' in your field of vision as opposed to going blind in part of the eye.

If the sclera (the white of the eye) isn't blood red, it isn't a broken capillary.

With a detatched retina, it wouldn't 'reattach' after 10 minutes.

Beats the heck out of me Sly, but you need to seriously pay attention to your vision for a while and make note of any changes and get your butt to the eye doctor if these episodes continue or if you start getting headaches.

Listen to Fred more than me. I see everything from a diagnostic view, he sees it from a clinical view.

I'd really rather not know about stuff like cholesterol or blood pressure. If eating reasonably and my currently intense exercise and Jiu Jitsu/kickboxing schedule isn't enough to help my body manage that stuff, that's just too bad. Besides, we should all be so lucky as to drop dead from a heart attack. Unfortunately, the cancer checkup should be enough to get me to the doctor every once in a while. That's a shitty way to go, and I'd feel stupid if I could have caught it early and lived a normal life. When are men officially supposed to get colon/prostate checked?

I'd take Pluto's advice over Fred's on this if I were you.

Not to sound too morbid but also get the doctor to test for MS. My sister in law has it and one of the first signs was her vision started acting wierd like that. She had a blank spot (her vision) in one of her eyes.
I realize MS happens more often in women and you may be too old to have it but peace of mind is welcomed. Good Luck

PP, for some odd reason, muscle weakness (and sudden loss of muscle coordination) are the usual first signs of MS in men while it's the vision stuff with women.

    Any more episodes sly?
