No bullshit from any other teams fans, not from your heart, but from your head:

If you make to at least the Elite 8, but don't win it all this year:

    1. Do you consider this a successful year?
    2. How many of the underclassmen return next year?

Again, serious, honest answer only. Duke, State, etc. keep your traps shut.

thats improving from the previous year, so I'd say its succesful. In todays college basketball, its hard to win, and win in big tournaments and on the road.

    Everyone stays except Mccants.

The team is talented enough to make it to the Final Four so I'll be disappointed if they don't make it that far. Just improving over last year isn't enough since they should have gone farther than the second round.

If they win it all I say McCants and Felton probably go pro and maybe Marvin Williams. McCants and Williams are likely to go anyway. I don't really think Williams has shown enough this first year stat wise to make the jump but it's obvious he has the potential to be a superstar in the NBA.

    1. No I don't. Close but not enough. I expect a Final 4 appearance. Like wossa said they have the talent to get there and anything else is a letdown.

    2. I think that all depends on how the season plays out. May will be back next year. I'm leaning toward Felton returning because he's had a slip in play lately and it won't take long for scouts to notice that. Marvin Williams' family want him to return for at least 1 more year at UNC, but he's probably got more potential than ANYONE in college basketball this year.

The Elite 8 would be a disappointment because looking at the teams out there, we should beat everyone of them easliy. We can be that good. This is the year I have been looking forward to for three years. Minus Jameson and JR we are still as good as I thought we'd be. So I want it all this year.

I think McCants will stay. He's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. I think they will measure their decisoion based on their success this year. Marvin will stay cuz he has a good head on his shoulders, but I thought the same thing about Deng.

With the current state of college hoops Carolina's in a unique position with unquestionable talent coupled with serious experience. You rarely get players to stay through their junior year. Granted the current players don't have a history of much success, especially in the NCAA's. I think anything short of a final four would be disappointing.

I think Felton is gone, regardless of how far the Tar Heels go in the tourney. I think May is back. McCants is iffy. I think he ultimatly comes back.

Do you really think any of the three (May, Felton & McCants) will be great pros? I like them all in college, but don't see them as great pros.

Felton should be. May might be too undersized to be even an NBA PF, but then again I thought Brand was. I don't see him being dominant in the league, but he could be a contributer. McCants, same situation. He really is a SF, but in a SMALL shooting guard's body. And by small it's pushing PG territory.

Does Felton shoot it well enough? Is he that much better than Ed Cota?
