I also think the Panthers should fire John Fox. And since Duke lost in the third round of the NCAA tournament, they should fire Coach Krzyzewski.

Well I don't know who will be available or could be lured away from another team, but I can give you an example of the type of coach and that would be Oliver Purnell of Clemson.

Somebody with his coaching style, he is a good recruiter, very good at relating to his players, which is a weakness for Sendek imo.

I think it's completely different circumstances. Both Fox and Coach K have been successfull. They turned there programs around and made it to the championship of their respective sports, and they did it quickly. Sendek's been around 9 yrs and the very best he's done is less than expected.

I never knew you measured your college programs success by the number of NBA players you produce...

Hey IC it fits the agenda.

You know last year was a failure for Herb even though they finished 2nd in the No.1 Conference in America.......No Good they say. He must make a run in the tourney.Well after the meltdown vs Vanderbilt(Didn't hall of Famer Lute Olsen have a meltdown just this past Saturday?) it was "Off with his head Fire Herb". Well this year after a run to the sweet 16 and a REMARKABLE coaching job when the team could have mailed it in when they were 3-7, they now find other means.... Bad regular season, no pros produced, injuries are an excuse, Hate his offense etc etc. I like the guy. We have invested to much into a young coach now to send him off to win somewhere else. Hang in there Herb, maybe another school could take some of these fans. Can we fire them??

Oh didn't you know. Alot of these same fans were calling for Hamilton at State a couple of years ago. And I'll tell you your program was in much bett er shape than the one Herb took over. 4 NCAA's in a row after not going for 10 years and people are still whining. Well those people were the laughing stock on talk radio after the UCONN win. Hows the petition going over on Packpride??

I think I'd like like Sendek as a person. I've never met him but from what i've read and heard he is a very decent man. I just don't think he's a winner. He's had more than enough time. The point about the pro draft picks is to point out that he doesn't bring in the talent that the other big 4 schools do. Maybe he is a great coach, but he's not coaching the same degree of talent that Roy and coach K are, and it is no one else's fault except his.

Hey Turd, i'm not trying to start something but Lute Olsen has earned the right to be cut some slack. He's maintained a level of excellence for years, and he's won championships. and I don't care if I'm a laughing stock of talk radio. 9 years is long enough to expect more than mediocrity. I didn't remember them coming in 2nd last year, but I do remember the Vanderbilt loss, and I do remember people saying the ACC having a down year.

I doubt Larry would like this level of performance with FSU 's football program, but with the bball program there is a different expectation - (I presume).
