I would imagine this is the reason he wants it. But then again, I'm not much on conspiracy theories. Why not ask him why he wants it? Or have you already done so?

I read an article yesterday about how some kids got badly burned on the slide of one of those big playsets like you have (it had a green slide, too). The surface temperature of the slide in the article got up to 160 degrees on a hot summer day. It caused second degree burns.

Next time it gets 90+ degrees, have Ace slide down the thing before the kids do to see if any skin falls off.

To bury the bodies...No really, just because. Just to add to his property. No real reason other than he just wants it.

That slide is nothing compared to the metal ones we had to slide down when we were little. Talk about burns!

The metal ones were fun though because you could go down a few times sitting on a piece of wax paper then you would "fly" down!

That and they were twice the size. Now they are afraid that kids will fall off. Geez people, its natural selection at that point! :49:

Our area park use to have this REALLY high metal slide that had like a hill on it too. It was great. It felt like a coming of age when you finally got the courage to go down it. Kids would climb up and then come back down the ladder because they got to the top and chickened out. It was really old (1930's) but still in really good shape.

They took it down a few years ago for exactly the reasons you are saying.

The local pool doesn't have a high dive anymore either. Bunch of sissy kids (or parents)!
