Also remember this. As the market gets saturated and there are no more customers to be found, The Price Drops. So being stuck at a 2 year agreement could backfire on you. Many other options are coming, and to be stuck is the pits.

I still feel sorry for the people on AOL dialup because they simply do not know better, or broadband is not available.

If you are a sports fan, here are some arguments.

    1. Sports mix channel. 8 sports channels on one where you can switch sound to any of them, and then go to whatever game you decide is best. I think they have other mix channels, but I'm not sure.

    2. Scoreboard. You don't have to got to espn news and wait for the stupid scroll. You can pull it up yourself.

    3. NFL Package. The greatest thing on tv.

Here are some other great things.

    1. Not TWC customer "service"
    2. More HD channels
    3. You can customize a menu so if you don't want to see Lifetime, oxygen, the home network...etc. you can put all the stuff you know you like on your on demand network.

The CW thing is HUGE for me. That was one of the big things I've been holding out for. Not a ton of shows, but I enjoy Smallville, Supernatural, and Reaper (though I hear its being canceled).

TW has had it in HD where as Direct hasn't till now.

    ----
    A few questions.

    (1) Does ANYONE actually get the magazine subscription, and is it worth ANYTHING?

    (2) Is it worth getting the $5.99 a month Hardware Protection Plan? Has anyone had to use this? And did it actually work when you did?

    (3) Does anyone here have the on Demand add on pack? It cost $29.99 now. Is THIS worth it?

    (4) What package would you go with? I want locals and standard channels. Don't really care about sports packages until around August.

Just wondering don't you need a land line to get satellite?

I prefer cable. Other than NFL Season ticket I can't think of a reason why it's better. I don't watch much tv though.

I get all the channels for free with TWC, so I like them a lot more.
