Can't keep playing sloppy and expecting to win. Everytime we get some momentum, holding, offense. Far too many penalties. And we were the home team.

That said, Tony Banks doesn't get the ball far enough.

SC sure had TN back on their heels with the running game, but didn't have the passing game to break away.

Summers is a very good back. USC proved the UVA game wasn't just a fluke. We were fortunate to win this game. Our punter won it, along with a nicely managed game by Casey. He called the right audibles at the right time.

I don't know what its going to take for this offensive line to stop reading its press clippings and start playing. Five plays of over 10 yards wiped out by holding.

do you remember the offensive pass interference call near the end of regulation?

we had 3rd and 11 at our 44 with 3:40 left to play. we complete a long pass down the sidelines for the apparent first down, we would have had the ball 1st and ten from the tennessee 28 yard line with 3:23 remaining, BUT WAIT! offensive pass interference. so we get pushed all the way back to our 29 yard line for a 3rd and 26 so of course we had to punt. we were fortunate our d was able to get us to overtime after all that. i've watched this play on tape about 5 times. it was the worst offensive pass interference call i've ever seen, total bullsh*t.

but i don't want to make it seem like i'm crying because officials cost us the game...i mean, that was a bullsh*t call, and even with all the holding on tennessee there were plenty that weren't called BUT, we had them down 3 in overtime and they drove it in for the gamewinning touchdown and that's what it's all about. the good teams find a way to make a play in a crucial situation and tennessee knew they were going to win the game once they got into overtime.

i thought we played like we wanted to win it all through the game, but in ot, we looked like we were playing not to lose for the first time in the ball game. you know what i mean? and when we did get the 3 point lead, our defense looked almost uncomfortable out there or something. they were back on their heels instead of attacking like they had all game. they looked like they were trying to bend but not break and just hope tenn would be satisfied with 3 runs and a field goal attempt.

It was the right call. Replay shows it clearly. I was in a room full of gamecock fans, and even they addmitted so after the replay. His left hand clearly pushes off to gain seperation. I don't know what to tell, except look at the replay on the tape which shows the left hand pushing off. Granted, it's rarely called, but the refs seemed intent on calling a tight game.

That said, both teams had a couple of ticky tack defensive pass interference calls go against them. Refs called a very tight game that put both offenses in bad situations, particualry in the second half.

In OT, you guys stayed aggresive. Don't doubt them. You got caught in a inside run blitz and we ran outside, just a lucky play call that got us to the 12. Then again, you tried pressure up the middle on the TD, and Houston just got behind the corner one on one. Yall were aggressive all game and played your heart out.

Very good, poised game played by the Gamecocks.
