    slow. somewhat of a downer.

the funniest part was 3/4 of the way through.

it was OK. i wouldn't watch it again, even though i like the cast.

there just wasn't enough OOMPH there to bring me back.

I know what you mean. I liked it, but I thought I'd really like it. Doesn't match the hype, but still worth seeing.

I love how they make fun of the Nor Cal wine folks.

paul giamatti was excellent, tho. saw it last night. loved it. so was virginia madsen and that guy in wings, what's his face.

the cali vineyards and the wine country shots were amazing. solvang and the lompoc area made me wish i was in cali. i believe i was california dreaming after the movie.

it was strange to see lompoc on the road sign in the movie. i was in lompoc in 1991 for my girlfriend's 5-year high school reunion.

i never knew it was wine country. it was windy as heck and we went sliding down the hills on blocks of ice.

don't get me wrong, the movie wasn't bad. it just wasn't out-of-this-world great.

and the guy from wings is thomas haden church. i've liked him since "ned and stacey".

Saw it on video last night. It sucked. Not worth all the hype. Why was this sold as a comedy?

Saw it a couple of weeks ago. Fell asleep for a little while during the middle of the movie. It's had to be impressed when the build up was so great. Easy to be let down. Not a terrible movie but not one of my favorites by far.

Thomas Hayden Church was hilarious and did an awesome job with his character.

But the movie was a downer and suffered from that awful wine tasting stigma that became yet another fad for the sheeple.

I've enjoyed both times that I saw it. Rented it for Nancy to see and she fell asleep. I thought for sure she'd like it more than me since it has more of a "chick flick" feel to it.
