I've been intrigued by the previews I've seen, but I don't really know much about the show. Did you watch it, Mark?

yeah, I've seen all 3 episodes. I don't fully have my head wrapped around it yet. It's a really well written show (at least so far). It's very "pro-faith / anti-religion" but that's kind of the fashion these days, I suppose.

I think it might be the kind of thing that would really prompt someone who was curious to look a little deeper into faith, but I'm not entirely certain it starts them off on the right foot.

Like I said, still trying to fully grasp it, but I'm enjoying watching it.

(and for the record, Holly Hunter has passed Jodie Foster and Diane Lane as the hottest over 40 actress on earth).

I like it. I've seen all three episodes. I like that it doesn't raise one religion over another and instead takes a more open minded approach to building a personal relationship with God.
With all due respect to the former Cardinal Ratzinger, I don't think there can be just one true faith. The Bible tells Christians and Jews alike to honor their mothers and fathers. How can you honor them if you reject their faith?

I also like that Holly Hunter's in it. I've been in love with her since "Raising Arizona."

Wow! Care to explain? I skipped the show, but based on that unambiguous response from you, I'm mildly curious.

I guess I was expecting more of a spiritual spin to it (considering the co-star is supposed to be an angel), but what it turned out to be was an hour of watching Holly Hunter's character wallow in self-destructive behavior and decadence. There just wasn't much of a storyline, other than watching her get drunk, scream, and sleep with a couple of guys. It seemed to me like the show as more about pushing the boundaries of TV-MA than anything else.
