    Rookies and vets are not peers, just as my buddy who just went through Basic last month but was a leader due to being 33 instead of 18 is not a peer of the people he was in charge of.

    If he was in charge then he was of a higher rank and therefore not a peer. Rookies and vets are peers. I would have less of a problem with this sort of thing if it were done by superiors. I understand the process the military uses with drill seargants and toughening up recruits or whatever. That is not the same thing. That process is done for the good of the person it is done to, whereas hazing is done by a peer in an effort to repay for what was once done to him.

    I have never heard of a coach getting out of hand and sodomizing someone with a pine cone. You do hear about that sort of thing all the time with real hazing.

    I don't know what fucking news rags you read, but you DON'T hear that all the time with hazing. Find me two separate incidents and I'll agree that you're right on this.
