don't take this personal mail but its always been my opinion that if you think the poster may be talking about you then its safe to assume they are.

Put me in the "I think Sandman gets a bad rap" club. I don't always agree with him and hate to see the long drawn out arguements that he starts, continues or gets himself sucked into.

I love football, love to watch it and think I know something about it ---

But damn if i even bother reading half the crap in here because EVERYONE thinks they are THE expert and nobody tolerates any different opinions.

I bet 99% of the middle school football coaches in America know more than the collective knowledge of this board.

If anyone is withholding their opinion because of this shit, then I am indeed sorry. I really don't have any problems with differing opinions about football, something that is just a recreational intrest.

Maybe its Sandy's style, maybe its me, I dunno. I guess the main thing that set me off was that their were valid points in a good initial thread that were being ignored, in lieu of a few IMO rather innoculous comments that the discussion turned upon.

oh I don't mind Sandy... on the most part I tr to ignore a lot of his stuff around football time... because Sandy to be honest you won't admit when you're wrong... so I generally stay outta those debates... but he's pretty good outside of those ie. Basketball and other things.

I don't like it when SandMan does that either. ;)

Piper, I'm still waiting for the question. I missed it, don't mean to ignore you.

But those that chose to get involved in the Start Fasani thread...

    This was my exact words

"My god, how many low scoring lack of playmaking games do we have to have?

Yea, you can say this or that, but the bottom line is with Peete or Winky, you can count on the fact that there will be no "playmaking". They are not going to "make stuff happen".

Fasani proved he had game in the preseason, the only Panther QB to prove he could make shit happen. I'd rather see him get one game, just one fucking game... and either win or lose by 20 than go through another Sunday of this Bullshit."

Now someone please help me understand... where did I make mention of any person on this board? Where did I say, I know I'm right and everyone else is wrong?

Nope, I was just a frustrated fan stating his opinion. Argue opinion, thats cool... but thats not where 3-4 people decided to take the thread.

McFly had a good post that raised some points in that 3 or 4 you are talking about, and the other replies, IMO, were innoculous, and IMO you overreacted and ignored points raised by McFly and myself.

I'm not going to rehash them, if you want to find them and deal with them now in this thread, go ahead. They are their and can be easily found.

If not, then don't and let it lie.

    OK, read the post.

A couple people said f-u, it's the playcalling. Then I made a post. McFly's post must have been somewhere else.

This was the thread "Chris B made me laugh... as you know they are limited as to what they can say in a short period of time...

Chris B. (not SandMan) says.... Can Winky Dinky do it.... NO!. "

I agreed with almost everything McFly said, so there was nothing for me to answer. I clarified that Winky did not lose the game for us, I simply said, he's not one to win it for us.

Thats two threads that I started. Others got off the subject. Any rebuttles should have directed at ESPN, not me, I simply quoted them.

You never addressed how "another QB" would have made a difference or changed the play calling, dropped passes, and penalties. That you agree that they sucked and Weinke did not lose the game isnt' the point.

And no, others did not go off subject. Others brought up coordination.

Yep. Far too many people made statements and asked questions that got passed up for some smart ass comment about a thread being closed or . Saying things like "I missed the question" is just as disrespectful.

SandMan doesn't get a bad rap. He says he wants to talk football but he only talks football about things he tries to make political, like this person that he likes or this person he can't stand. When he does he makes incendiary comments and then either tends to lie to back it up or ignores it to go into personal battles. That's not constructive and the board as a whole out here is tired of it.

As far as middle school coaches? You're joking right? You might not know your football, but that doesn't mean others don't. Middle school coaches for the most part know some technique and basic schemes. You don't even seem to know middle school coaches' basics.

Sandy: If you're not going to respond with football, don't respond. It's that simple. This shit is tired. There are far too many people tired of it, but of course they're just "banding together", even though you don't feel like people are out to get you? Is your entire purpose to be contradictory and just get any sort of attention?

there you go, guys...this is what i am talking about.

brain, i dont mean to piggyback on your theory, but...i think the ignore feature of this board works. if not, we should all be mature enough be able to ignore on our own. we should all be able to not get bent out of shape just because one ijit poster refuses to see it our ijit way.

tolerance. maturity. these are words that come to mind. i am one who sometimes forgets. this is after all just a message board. differing opinions is a healthy thing. stupid opinions as well. shit, i have several of those myself. and i thank you all for not rubbing them in my face. :D

one poster might have way too many stupid ones, but it's all good. everyone can read. everyone can pretty much tell whose opinions are valid and have more thought and rationale. we dont have to rehash anything to the hilt. well, we could...but it will just take up valuable bandwith and no one really cares to read it after the point has been made repeatedly. 2 or 3 sentences pretty much is all i need. JMO. so sue me.

this is an excellent football board/forum. i think.
    :D
