Samnsung vs. Sony

Since I exclusively use Sony products at work, I'm a whore for Sony. I'll almost always take Sony over whatever else for loyalty reasons. I realize that's not necessarily prudent, but it's what the fuck I do.

Anyway, my girl's dad got her a Samsung LNT3253H(32 in. LCD) for Christmas. It looks great, but a bearing went bad two days after we turned it on making a heinous high pitched noise. Queen City(bastards) says they don't have any more Samsung's in stock, but offered her the Sony KDL S3000 32 in. instead.

Because of my loyalties, I say it's a good trade, but I don't know tv's like ya'll do. What do ya'll think? TIMFAMF's

They're both top of the line. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Sony's are higher priced but I've yet to see a Sony rated as the best in it's class. Not that that means much.

 

I just posted this in another thread, but I had the Samsung 4661 and had to return it due to a sound issue. I had it for about 8 days. They didn't have another one and I wanted a bigger tv anyway, so it came down to a 52" Samsung or a 52" Sony. I went Sony and I couldn't be happier. It's not even close.

 

What was your sound issue? She went with the Sony, too and is very happy.
