Cincinnatti doesn't have a track record of trading down in the first. They'll stay put and take Pitts or Chase probably.

Are the odds in on if this year's draft will set a veiwing record?
It already sounds like must see TV.

It's certainly less predictable than it has been in recent years.

Indeed, and I hear you. But apparently some buzz out of Cincy about drafting a lineman.

Not for nothing, but during Slater’s Pro Day, he bested Sewell’s bench and 40 time. True, he has more weight, but Slater looked notably quicker in sprints.

    Fix the line.

And Pitts is a damned monster in the making. Of course Brady would need to actually use the TE.

A week ago I was vehemently against Pitts, because we needed a QB and a Tackle more than anything. But if he's there at 8 now, I'm all for it. You can run him on verticals every play (something Brady does with TEs) and get a blindside protector in the 2nd. With Pitts keeping the Safeties deep, CMC as an outlet, and Robby & the Moores running routes in the flat there won't be a play where Darnold doesn't have a wide open option, and all he will need is enough time to deliver the ball. I think he's going to look like a completely different QB next year.

Plenty of conjecture regarding Slater as a high 1st rounder. But if Sewell is gone, he’s my pick.

    Hmmm. Interesting
Hope you’re right . .. but if so we’ll need a much better O-line for Darnold to have “enough time”

There will be a stud OT available in the 2nd. Really deep class there this year, although not as top heavy as last year's was.

Think you are right about Pitts and it would be easy to get excited about adding him. Saw Pitts play a lot and to me he is a Metcalf or Deebo Samuel
. .. he would make Darnold look better DAY ONE
