Other than Gross or Moton the Panthers' history of OL picks are fairly below average.
If Greg Little does little to nothing this coming season you'd have to label him as a bust would you not?

    Sit on the fence much?
Going from a 10 year career and winning 2 Super Bowls to being out of here in 2 years.

I'd go for Ehlinger late on.

Great. Thats behind us. Now fix the damn line. If not, get Surtain, Parsons or pitts.

    Darnold is young.

If we are going to mold a QB to our system, might as well try him for a few late round picks that spend multiple 1st rounders to do the same.
We had calls on Teddy, figure we will trade him for maybe the 6th and get that back.
OT is something Darnold did not have in NY, we need one here. Sewell or Slater might be the pick. We have weapons already in Robbie, DJ and CMC, not sure they will go with Pitts if he is around.

I mentioned Ehlinger earlier this year and got thrown " he looks like a Tim Tebow type" at me.

He needs to fix his throwing motion, that can be coached up though. He's six months younger than Joe Burrow and has played the last two years without a QB coach and without an Offensive Coordinator. He has better physical tools than any QB we've ever had with the exception of Cam and probably has a better arm than Cam. He's going to need a lot of attention and a lot has to go right, but the idea that Eli is his ceiling is wrong. His ceiling is far, far above Eli and he will either be there, or not make the Eli level at all.

It wouldn't surprise me if we're searching for another QB in 2022. It also wouldn't surprise me if we dump Grier and draft Mond or Book this year to see if they can develop.

You're describing the Chicago Bears' approach. You can't wait until all the pieces are in place before you get your QB, it needs to come together at once.

Brockermeyer was never great but didn't suck. We also drafted Travelle Wharton, Evan Mathis, Ryan Kalil, Geoff Hangartner, Jeff Otah (good pick, bad luck with injuries), and Trai Turner to name a few off the top of my head. I have high hopes for Dennis Daley too.

The problem is not that we suck at picking offensive linemen, the problem is that we do it so infrequently.

Mathis' wiki page is a hoot it doesn't even mention the Carolina panthers in the written portion.

Hard to credit a guy as a good pick when he contributed nothing positive to the team.

Damn, that's kind of sad. He got his nickname in Carolina and started 15 games his sophomore year. And it's on Fox that he didn't develop, we still drafted him.
