It's one fucking game, just relax. The only thing we really need to be concerned about is Jenkins' health.

THats incorrect. It may be the biggest worry, but not the only worry. THere are lots of things to be concerned about. One game is one game, and it tells a lot. We need to play better, execute better, and play tons better on defense. This is a trend, not ONE game.

We play 16 games. Not 82 or 162. One game is a big deal in this league, and its why we don't play the best 2 out of 3 in January.

I didn't see anything I would consider indicative of a trend, not even the third downs. Well, the tight end thing could be a trend, but that's old news and I really didn't believe that we had fixed that problem anyway. I thought that in most situations, the Saints just made plays when they needed to and we made some absolutely bone-headed plays ourselves. I don't think Jake will throw costly interceptions every game (and several more should have been intercepted) and I think Pep will remember how to pass rush. Sure, we need to work on our short yardage run defense, our pass coverage, and our decision making, but I didn't see anything at all that really concerned me aside from Jenkins' knee.

That's not correct either, I do agree about the execution and defense, but you can't have a trend after one game. A trend would be multple games.

Philadelphia got blown out in its first two games of 2003. New England got blown out its first game of 2003. Obviously no team has gone undefeated aside from the Dolphins. Losing a home game hurts, and losing a home game against a division opponent hurts more, but it's still only one game. Running around like the world is coming to an end or that this team is suddenly doomed to not make the playoffs is just moronic.

    It's one game.

Thanks for reminding me, Reb. Everyone please notice how so many people bitched and moaned about the SI Jinx, then notice that other people pointed out how UNC had been SI's pick to win the NCAA Championship too, and what happened? They lost their first game to Santa Clara. What happened after that?

    It's one game.
