That's awesome, we're even then about making statements that make "people with actual football knowledge think is ridiculous".

When our D and STs suffer utter breakdowns and you want to single out Cam Newton, I think that has about the same effect, and has the stench of your personal crusade against him, because you're being proven wrong again when it comes to a high QB pick.

As for Naanee? Don't forget about 89, the two TEs, and the backs, and number 11. I don't think many "knowledgable football people" would deny we have some real talent across the board catching footballs.

So anyway, yeah, McDermott still got fired for a guy who was an offensive positions coach, and I'm not making that up.

You're a McDermott mark, I get it. We disagree, and you will continue to say I'm wrong, which is ok. What's not, is that you are the one who is wrong, and the defensive production continues to support that.

    Don't Stop Believing.

(I'm sorry nothing's changed as far as being a team of losers. But it's all so much more exciting, and let's grow with Cam!)

    No, not really.

Except for the fact that I'm not being proven wrong at all, that everything I complain about regarding Newton is actually true, and that I haven't at all blamed Cam for the team being 1-4.

Yeah, they really would. It's debatable as to whether or not Olsen is even a top 10 receiving TE in the league, and due to the amazing level of talent currently at the position I personally would say that he's not. Then Shockey's washed up, while neither Williams or Stewart have proven themselves to be consistent contributors as receivers. Knowledgeable football people agree that Carolina's passing attack is a one man show with Steve Smith, and after that you cross your fingers hoping that someone else has a good game. Trying to pretend like the Panthers' receiving options are anywhere even close to the Saints' is embarrassing.

And the Eagles' defense got worse by doing so despite numerous high-priced defensive acquisitions, so clearly McDermott wasn't the problem. He barely even has a track record, so your rage against him is as bizarre as it is misplaced.

    No, you're just being retarded.

You go straight to Cam after a loss, and have even suggested he's the reason for our struggles. Granted, you didn't this week...

Not suggesting we're comparable talent-wise, although our offense isn't far behind while playing with a rookie QB. But please don't suggest we're not talented. We are. We have a lot of talent on offense.

He was not very good with the Eagles. He had a terrible red zone defense, and he was poor enough for Reid to replace him with garbage. He's not been good here. No rage against him. I just can't stand him. :p

    Oh, good lord.

I respond to people hailing him as Chocolate Jesus, and me saying he's the main reason for the red zone struggles is certainly accurate. You're making a mistake in acting like I'm not only more knowledgeable than you are, but also much more objective. I don't play favorites. Most of my friends are like you and have predetermined support or aversion to certain players or coaches, but I'm not wired that way. When it seems like I am, it's just because I'm defending or criticizing someone the rest of the herd is doing the opposite for.

The question was about the number of receiving threats, and how that affected a defense's ability to double cover individual players. Doubling Steve Smith doesn't expose your defense against Carolina, while doubling anyone on the Saints obviously would.

Not only are you wrong about his performance so far through five games, but you had already made up your mind before the team even played one.

I'm not sure why they're targeting Naane in critical situations. Steve Smith, Greg Olsen, or Shockey would make more sense, even if they do draw most of the coverage.

I know it's retarded, but I wonder if it's because he kind of looks like Darvin Adams with the dreads and height.
