    interesting, because the group i went with are pretty harsh critics and they all thought it good.

    my gripe was the writing liberties they took in changing the story.

    I had a great time -- perfect spring ditch-work-early and hang out movie. And since I didn't know the original story, the changes didn't bother me.

    My only gripe: there was a lot less eye candy for the guys than for the women. Why hire Penelope Cruz if she ain't gonna show some booty?

    Not very plausible, and I havent read the book, but i enjoyed it quite a bit. Sure, it was ridiculous. But suspend disbelief folks and just roll with it. it's a summer movie after all.

    Steve zaughn or whatever was hilarious as the sidekick. he has that role down pat.

    penelope cruz definitely satisfies the eye candy quota, but would have liked to see a little more of her.
