And only 3 games behind you. You been playing crappy teams too (I mean, besides the Yankees)?

The schedules are roughly similar. Of course, the Sox have played 23 games on the road, have been playing without 40% of their starting rotation, and except for a couple of exceptions really haven't been hitting at all - yet we are still up on you.

    And it's still May.

Oh, and our rotation is setting up to be any of the 5 of Schills, Arroyo, Wells, Clement, Miller, and Wakefiled. Yikes - in a good way.

I wish the Yanks weren't so long in the tooth for pitching.

Assuming those 6 keep pitching well - what's your rotation? I'd hate to do it, but I'd have to put Wake in the pen cause he can bounce back so quickly.

Wakefield. But I won't be surprised if gets close to the normal amount of starts for the year due to injuries. I can't believe Wells is gonna hold up. Schilling's still a month away at least and who knows with Miller?

I have never had a problem with them going out and spending the money. It showed they were serious about winning. Granted it would suck to be a Royals fan. An owner that could care less about winning ala Shinn. With all of Steinbrenners money he should have stayed away from all of his older f/a players and put that into scouting. Their minor league cubburds have been picked clean trading for all of these AARP guys. It looks like times are just now starting to get ugly for them with nothing in the farm system to help. The A's as well
