    I have enjoyed this 2005 summer watching my beloved White Sox lay waste to the AL Central, although I have never declared openly that they could reach the World Series.

    And this is why.

    The Chi Sox are in the throws of a 7 game losing skid, after todays 5-0 whitewash by the Stankees.

    Damn, it was fun while it lasted.

    Typical 2nd-half choke. It's not unexpected. I'd rather they get it out of their system now and not in September.

    a big concern

    Minnesota is 10 1/2 games behind Chicago in the AL Central, but the teams will play 10 more times this season, beginning Tuesday with a three-game series at Metrodome.
