    12th in hitting in AL. I'll take those numbers out of the seven or eight spot all day long once Crisp gets healthy. Can't underestimate having hitters at the bottom, especially when you have such a huge liability hitting out of the nine spot. Lowell's been a huge bonus: .294/.510 slugging/.839 .OPS and league-leading eight doubles.

    I know it's early, but the Arroyo for Wily Mo trade is looking real, real bad. This guy looks completely lost at the plate and in the field. If Trot could stay healthy, I'd have him up there against lefties before Pena. Wells had better get his shit together.

    On a positive note, Wakefield threw well, giving up only one earned over eight. Sure wish they could get Mirabelli back.

    Papelbon's tribute to Rick Vaughn is the fucking shit. I like my closer being a little bit crazy.

    Cliff Lee made us look foolish, but I wasn't surprised.
