    you make some good points but i think reyes will improve his obp and score alot. i really wish the mets hadnt traded kazmir for zambrano. what a dumb move that turned out to be. also trading seo was dumb too although it added bullpen help. other than the cards and braves, both who i think will finaly slump a little after their long runs, i just dont see why the mets wont be contenders. as for winning it all that may not happen but i think they have a realistic chance.

    The N.L. does look a little weak this season, which should help the Mets, but I think the Phillies will be better than them as well.

    I think all that time spent with Snort is distorting reality for you.

    Once again, the loser pirates will be a non factor by the all star break, if not sooner.

    Beat me to it. I know nothing about Pena and his upside, but I don't think that I like trading a guy with 14 wins and willingness to go the pen for a .248 hitter. Is Pena any good defensively?

    I know the Reds had talked in the last couple years about being able to trade Adam Dunn, if they so chose, because the had Pena on the roster. They had four starting outfielders at the time (Griffey and Kearns being the others). I'm not sure how serious they'd ever have been about getting rid of Dunn.

    This guy strikes out a lot and doesn't walk much. shitty average and OBP. dumb trade in my opinion. when wells' back gives out and Schilling has to go on the DL, they'll wish they had him.

    I heard the sox had to throw in cash too.
