Renteria lead the league in errors. I'm pretty certain Ganzalez will do a little better than that.

Arroyo may end up in the bullpen as a middle reliever, because someone has to and it won't be Clement. It's probably where he belongs.

I think everyone get too hung up on position players in the off season and forgets what really wins championships every year...pitching.

The Red Sox have maybe the best starting pitching in the american league right now with Schill, Beckett, Wakefield, Wells, Papelbon and Clement.

agreed. Toronto and Chicago are better for sure, but they're up there with the Indians, Angels and Yankees, in my humble motherfucking opinion. As a sox fan, I'm happy if their staff is top five or six so long as the offense does its job and then pen doesn't tank

Oh, really? You certain Captain Knowitall?

What is your source? You're rotisery league weekly publication?

Mine is out of the Boston Globe sports department. Not saying it will happen but I know there are talks of moving him into the bullpen if need be to make room for Papelbon.

Shouldn't you be grading book reports or something?

Maybe watching the Penquins lose again?

    rolf.

my source is common sense. the sox are going to make every effort to trade David Wells (he wants out) and have been trying like hell to send Clement packing (he makes way too much for the results they got from him last year). that leaves Schilling, Beckett, Wakefield, Papelbon and Arroyo to fill out the rotation. Arroyo won 14 games and threw over 200 innings last year and just signed a $4 million a year extension. So now you put him in the pen? He'll start the year in the rotation or get traded before the year starts. If he ends up in the pen, it'll be because he stinks it up and/or the sox can't unload wells/clement.

that's just my humble motherfuckering opinion.

PS: say hi to Bob Ryan and Dan Shaughnessy for me.
