    He's gone. Clearing out his office. And the Sox 2nd hand man just took the GM job in Arizona last week.

    EDIT: Local news was reporting that but ESPN is saying that he signed a 3 year deal. :imagestor

    boras want seven years, $84M for damon. :umno:

    four years, varitek money, tops. If they do trade Manny, I would hope for a decent (read: better arm, fast) CF and shift Damon to left. you don't need an arm to play left at Fenway.

    very possible, although I think the sox will have to accept less than value for manny, or pick up part of his contract. I can't see anyone giving Damon a seven-year deal. so there's as good a chance they play next year with the same outfield.
