    Can I get an Amen?

Anyway. I think I want to let Damon go now. Unless he'll only take 3 years, which he won't.

is he expendable now that Ortiz has become the heart of the team? I mean Varitek is your captain, Manny is dangerous, but Ortiz is a witch.

Ortiz won't get many rbi without people on base though. And Damon is damn good at that. Plus, he's a clubhouse guy.

I would say go with Hanley, but his OPS has been going down every year for the last 4 or so (thank you Peter Gammons).

So, maybe trade Hanley for somebody out there. Can't really think of who though off the top of my head. Not signing Eckstein sure is looking bad right now.

Dustin Pedroia will have a better chance than H. Ramirez of making the club next year, and he's a natural second baseman. They've been touting Ramirez pretty good the last couple years and he shoulda done more by now. Trading him now is probably best, especially with Renteria signed for three more years. Two, three years ago, Freddie Sanchez was regarded as at least as good as Ramirez. He got traded and hasn't done much with the Bucs.
