wakefield has been on. too bad he's out of starts for the year. I wish Francona had the balls to send him, and not Schilling, to the hill on Sunday against the Yanks if it's a meaningful game. He doesn't.

Actually, he is very vocal about it being just about as hard on his arm as it is for normal pitchers. Anyway, that is looking more and more like the best contract ever signed for the Sox. 4.5 million a year for as long as they want him. :woohoo:

yeah, I was thinking last night that would probably be the case. the rainout kinda fucked things up, but it could've been worse: Monday could have been someone else's turn in the rotation and none of them could go on three.

so what it'll come down to is: wells vs. wang on friday; johnson vs. wakefield on saturday; and schilling vs. mussina on sunday. A one-game edge going in would be nice.

sox-yankee playoff, if needed, is in the bronx on monday, likely arroyo vs. chacon. sox-indians would be in boston: arroyo vs. lee. I don't think they've done the coin flip for the white sox vs. red sox or yankees.

Clement hasn't been good at all since taking the ball off the head, although he supposedly had bad 2nd halfs in Chicago anf Florida too so maybe the comebacker has nothing to do with it. Anyway Myers and Papelbon saved the team tonight.

    Gotta beat Wang tommorow :ylsuper:

    Hey Mike,
Cold weather up here this weekend. How's that going to affect the action on the junk balls from Wake?

gametime saturday is 1:20. Supposed to be a high of 70 in Boston that day. Wakefield's knuckler works best with wind blowing toward centerfield. 70 isn't too bad, so the temp shouldn't be too much of a factor.

    fuck the yankees
