It's at least obvious that he is not going to produce like he did prior to last season. It still may work out with their pitching but they need a bat which is why it always surprised me that they didn't go hard after Matt Holliday or re-sign Jason Bay.

It's personal with people from Massachusetts. They talk about the Red Sox like we talk about our local high school team.. I've got relatives near Cape Cod & Boston, and there's nothing more important than standing up against the Yankees.

Great week to be a BoSox fan. Yankees overpay for old players while the Sox pay top dollar for players in their prime. I'd love to see Cliff Lee stay close to home and resign with Rangers and watch the Yanks shit tar for years

Lee needs to stay with Rangers

if he stays with the Rangers, they will win the west for the next 7 years....
Its all about making the playoffs....

The Yankees are old, Tampa Bay is not going away, and the Bosox just got BIG.... Yankees are third place......

plus he is close to home in Arkansas.....

As much as I hate the Yankees they ARE NOT 3rd place. TB will take a step back this year because of payroll issues. Those issues don't exist in New York. Lee will end up in the Bronx if it's about money. Texas can't out spend the Yankees. If Lee does stay in Arlington look for the Yankees to get very aggressive with some trades.

I'm torn on this actually. Lee will be really good for a couple of years, but the thought of the yankees having to pay him and cc 45 million a year for probably 3 years when they suck would be fun to watch.

This is a make or break year for Jacoby. He needs to step it up and step it up big. I really want to see Kalish continue his development and he will probably bounce between the Bo and Paw Sox. Obviously Anderson is either trade bait now or needs to learn a new position.

They are also talking to Russell Martin. Gammons raved about him all the time, so I think if they get him it might just cap about the best off season ever.

I think I just shit myself with excitement.
