Except for that one season where the yankees pulled the biggest choke in the history of pro sports.

Considering how many wild cards have won World Series in recent years, I'm not sure that it's a good thing.

Beckett roles. Nice way to start the series. He only threw like 25 balls in the entire 9 innings. Unreal.

Funnier still is that he finished the game an hour ahead of when TBS figured he would and now they have to kill a bunch of time.

I hope to God Dice-K isn't tired anymore. I really don't want to go back to LA with a split.

That strikeout to end the eighth was sick. It had Maddux type movement, but it was 98 mph instead of 92mph.

Everyone is tired this time of year. He needs to gut it up like Beckett did yesterday.

Will Manny be beaned in his first at bat, or if the score gets out of hand later on? I love his hitting, but that was way too much of a pose last night. A little part of me wished Bob Gibson was still in his prime.

I was wondering about that too. I'm not the hugest fan of it, but I thin kin today's game, that typr of celebration/reaction is accepted. I doubt Manny gets hit because of it.

He did knock the ever living shit out of the ball though.
