I'll probably be the only one here but fuck it. From ESPN Insider
Apr 7 - Melvin Mora has broken off talks on a contract extension with the Orioles and is interested in the Phillies, the Washington Post reports. The third baseman will be a free agent at the end of the season.
One source close to Mora said he would welcome the opportunity to play for the Phillies if they came calling. Philly is located close to Baltimore, and fellow Venezuelan Bobby Abreu is one of his best friends in the game.

Mora was seeking $27 million over three years from the O's. The club offered $24 million over three years with an option for a fourth that could be bought out at $1 million.

I doubt Philadelphia gives him that much either, and Abreu will be out of town soon enough as well. I do hope that the Orioles can re-sign Mora, but he's asking for too much right now.

Dam sorry I missed this thread guys. There are more of us in the area, good to hear.

The Phillies won't get rid of Abreu until they find out if 22 year old, left hander, Cole Hamels is the real deal.

He is now pitching in AAA Scranton Wilkes-Barre. Since he has been called up from AA, he has two starts, 16 innings, 26 K's (that's right 26) and only given up 5 hits. If he continues this path, he should be in Philly real soon.

Our boys really need starter's and if this kid could fill the bill, they have a real chance at the division. :satana:

The Phils are on a 7 game win streak. The Mets are down to the Braves 13-1, maybe we can catch a break and shut down Roid Bonds again tonight

I hope Pujols and Rodriguez can continue playing well and break Bonds' record. He'll stay around and hit like 770 just to spite everyone. He's that big of an ass. To break Ruth's record, Rodriguez needs about 27 homeruns a season over the next 10 years

Spent all that money during the winter and what has it got you????

    The hate the Mets!!!!!!

If the Phillies can get a stud for a pitcher (Cole Hamels) we will be front of the Mets after it's all said it done.
